●Target Countries

● Objective
• Building a workforce for elderly care.
• By 2025, the elderly population will account for 20% of the total population, making South Korea a super-aged society.
• Due to the shortage of caregivers under the Long-Term Care Insurance for the Elderly system, established in 2008,
which assigns care levels (1 to 5) for elderly individuals, we plan to address this gap by recruiting international personnel.
Foreign candidates will come to Korea on student visas (D2, D9), complete two years of academic studies,
and take the Nursing Care Worker certification exam (320 hours: 240hrs of Theory and Practice and 80hrs of Training).
Those who pass will be eligible for an E7 visa, allowing them to work as Nursing Care Worker in Korea. Additionally,
if a 50-hour Level2 certification becomes available, individuals can qualify to work as Nursing Care Worker after completing it.
• The qualification required for this is level 3 in Korean.
• Eligibility for this program includes graduates from nursing colleges or current nursing students in their
home countries. Successful applicants will undergo a four-month Korean language training program before arriving
in Korea, with continued support to help them learn Korean more effectively once they are here.
● Expected Benefits
• Addressing the shortage of elderly care workers in South Korea by managing foreign-trained nurses from
student visas to employment visas (E7), thereby contributing to population growth and workforce supply.
● Future Directions
• As the elderly population continues to grow, efforts will be made to attract excellent students,
ensuring satisfaction in elderly care and improving quality of life.
• Continuous support services, such as counseling and resource connections, will be provided
to help students adapt well to life in Korea, ensuring their happiness and integration.

in the corporation and work towards transitioning from a private company to a public one.
